OIL
The old Technique
Oil Painting using Colour pigments blended with oil. Thinned with turpentine.
Usually first layers are thinnner than next layers.
Alla Prima is the technique of painting the paint in one- go or wet-on-wet technique.
Charcoal

Charcoal
In use since Stone Age
Charcoal is one of the oldest and most expressive art mediums.
Charred wood is used to create rich black and white artwork.

Water colors
Pigments floating in water can give a floating, dreamy apperance in the final painting.
Light tones has to be untouched by the brush /pigment to give the light appearance.
The technique is quite different from oil painting.
Water colors are painted on paper, weight and medium specified.

Eva Beate Fagereng learned oil painting by Norwegian portrait painter Jonny Kruckow Heng, Norway.

ABOUT
Eva Beate Fagereng -
Has a background as an agriculturist, entomology researcher, high school teacher, fish farmer, consultant and petroleums engineer.
She has given birth to two girls and two boys and did graphite drawing and some water color painting before the children were born.
She picked up the pencil again after all the children left the house.
The creativity now also found its way through charcoal and oil paintings
